My sister and her husband just had a baby and she was able to work it out at her office to work four days a week and a half-day on Saturdays. One of the ladies who works in her office also has a new baby and when she heard about my sister's schedule, she said it would be nice to do something similar. But then said,…
That story breaks my heart every time I read it. The fact that so many people don't see the hypocrisy...
I've never interacted with Boy Scout troops, so you would know better than me. But I have a feeling that IF there was any sexuality flaunting, it would be mostly come from straight teenage boys and it would mostly be generic locker room talk about boobies.
So this is basically DADT for the Boy Scouts, huh?
Maybe because she used "white man" to refer to Zimmerman in quotes, implying that he's not white or that his race is suspect?

Solution from City Hall? "Uh...don't put your grandbaby on the ground next to poo?"
How dare all that nature spring up around your grandmother's lakehouse!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience at your university. It makes me cringe, though, that many rape survivors are reluctant to press charges. I have a feeling that rape apologists would jump on this, that a survivor wouldn't want to press legal charges because it wasn't really rape and s/he just wants…
Yeah, even though the police can be victim-blamers too, I don't understand why universities trump local law enforcement. Same question in regards to military rape. Yes, I know that the military has its own police and blah blah blah chain of command, but if that means I'm supposed to report my assault to my assaulter,…
I think that empathy is definitely something that is missing. That was the reaction I saw in the Steubenville rapists. "My future is ruined, no one will want me now," they cried after the verdict, but it never seemed to occur to them that the girl they violated probably felt the same way after she was assaulted.
