I’m torn between doing a joke about cosmic fetishism (going by the title of this article) and commenting on emo dark matter (self-annihilation)...

Talk about a power-wedgie...

Very true... which is better, cancelling the flight, or flying outside RVSM?

Am I the only person who mentally designing a software that can stabilize the image and show what’s happening outside the window while the camera is spinning?

That must be one ugly mofo for them to delete his head...

Autopilot is a feature, not a requirement. I drive a broken car all the time— the airbag light is on; one of my TPMS sensors is on the fritz...

In a real parallel, I’ve driven vehicles for hundreds of miles with no working cruise control (OMG!). I have never refused to drive because there wasn’t cruise control or I had

As a person who gets to repair aircraft in the US, I would concur with that assessment... pilots hate having to fly without a working autopilot or ACARS, which provides their routing and automatically programs the navigation and comm frequencies during the flight.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Chanur series a screen; big or little...

Sure, they say that this ‘glue’ can handle high temps, but what about vibration?

This might be okay for commercial, disposable electronics, but I think we should stick to the soldering for high-temp, high-vibration environments...

Ah, if only I were gif-savvy: “Gentlemen, set your phasers to stun.”

You who isn’t going to buy this? Anyone with small children...

I understand. Sometimes we forget that not everyone who read these articles understand that there are always risks of things going wrong.

I think this is where the CRISPR part comes in: the CRISPR DNA directs the tool to go to a specific gene before applying the fix. The way I read this article is that the tool actually doesn’t insert any DNA, but rather snips out a portion that isn’t coded right.

It’s a good movie. You should find time to watch the whole thing.

Thanks. Thought so, but wanted to be sure.
