id say boondocks was an interesting moment with anime depictions too. because while it was not technically anime, the art style was not fooling anyone, it was anime, as were the storylines, otherwise little kids would not be getting in so many stylized fight scenes. i’d imagine it was a gateway too.

I think this might be what tips the scale in favor of me leaving Jezebel. There is sometimes a level of tone deafness here that is staggering and youth is no excuse.

I only poke my head into the Epic Games Store maybe once a week, just to claim the free game. I haven’t played any of them of course, but I figure it doesn’t hurt to have a stash of several dozen free games on hand (some of them pretty good titles too!) in case of an emergency.

I admit, I used the Rewind button a LOT when replaying these classic shooters in RetroArch. Honestly, I never finished 90% of them back in the 80s, so it’s fun to just play through the game to the finish, even if I’m “cheating.”
