Yeah, I’ll be weird and defend Reflektor forever. A band at the height of their mainstream power releasing a boffo-weird album that played against perceived strengths like that intrigues me.

Everything Now is where the band’s innate arty prickishness went from interesting (as it was on Reflektor) to intentionally off-putting. Couple that with the fact that it was their first album in four years (they had always gone three years between albums), and....so, so disappointing.
