It could have been avoided by initially cleaning out the threads to the point where the bolt would thread in smoothly, cutting the plastic trim that was in my way and causing me to miss the fact that I was cross-threading, and then ensuring that I’d finger-tightened the bolt before cranking on it with a ratchet.

These are incredible numbers from a stock turbo. My guess is, with an aftermarket tune, and a larger turbocharger, this car might do two seconds, flat. I’m not sure how much these turbos are tuned for low-end, off the line torque, but my gut tells me with a quarter mile time like that, they have to come on boost…
Look for Accent in the spice aisle, near the salt. They don’t put “MSG” front and center on the label, but the list of ingredients confirm it is just straight-MSG in the jar.
