Actually it is for 5 y/o lol. Look at the 2 modes. You have the stripped down mode for competitive players with nothing but the characters and the flat stages. Then you have the mode where anything goes. They're doing it on purpose. That being said I highly doubt you'd get a serious marking unless your harassing…

Something to keep in mind. There's a "For Fun" mode and "For Glory" mode. If you're sitting there in For Fun mode playing like its EVO, I can see you getting a mark on your account for "playing strategically" where everything is batshit insane with items and Final Smashes. Would be a good way to keep things separate.
