That guy has a good story. He won entry fees by winning 2nd place in a Porsche club racing championship class for stripped down 944's (hello Stef). He then sets up a crowd-funding effort to raise the money to do a portion of the series. He buys this Chevy Sonic this winter and his only chance to drive it is in the

It's a safety thing. He's standing out in the snow, doing reports, so the neon orange beard serves as a safety cone, making traffic aware of him. Is that the real reason? Beats me!

No. But I almost miss those big early 90s conversion vans. You know the ones: blue velour captain seats, fake wood paneling everywhere, curtains, and a television with a VCR. My neighbors had one in the early nineties. Those were awesome.

Firearms were not created for sport. They were created to kill.

I'm with you on this. Street racing is dumb...people really shouldn't do it. But, the people watching are also dumb. They really shouldn't do that either. The guy that lost control in the Mustang had some bum luck, as did the people that got killed. That driver is guilty of vehicular manslaughter, period. The gtr

Try explaining that to "Professor" up there. Nice analogy BTW.

Thank you, at least somebody gets it. The people weren't innocent by pedestrians, they were participants just as much as the racers. Unfortunate yes, murder, no way

So true, and thank you for posting this. It's so funny how clueless most of the faux enthusiasts on this site can be anymore, but I guess that's what happens when kids get all their car knowledge from Forza and Top Gear and whose only real world driving experience involves driving the family hand-me-down Corolla and

Public park or out in some industrial section of town, or the woods? Straighten out your analogy a bit, even if we do accept that an object for moving and an object for killing are one and the same.

Someone holding a different opinion from you isn't trolling. The two people killed were adults who made a conscious decision to stand feet from a street race with no protection. They're just as culpable in their own deaths as the amateur who lost control of his car.

Laws aren't black and white, when you give opportunist politicians and enforcers the ability to call this immature, reckless accident a murder, you redefine the law. At what point do we start to cuff people who merged too fast? Tuned their car for E-85? The repercussions of this are going to be huge, and I can't

Often? How often? 0.3% of all automotive accident related deaths nationwide are caused by street racing. You're more likely to get killed by a cop than you are getting run over by a murdering maniac in a mustang. The outrage is sensationalist for a reason, and it has nothing to do with safety. It's drama, for grandmas.

while I think he went a little far with the: "dont throw them in jail" I have to agree that its not murder. Manslaughter sure, but its not like the driver decided, ok, you know, I'm going to kill those two guys tonight

I'm also curious as to why the GT-R driver is being charged with murder as well? Street racing

So anyone who doesn't share your opinion is a troll ?

Two street racers were unfortunately killed. Guys who were there to watch, guys who raced in that spot before.

I wonder how long ago they switched from paint to wraps?

It's better with a front bench. I feel like I usually drive solo, sometimes have one passenger, and rarely have a third. Pretty much never pack my whole sedan full.

You should probably put your glasses on. This car is hideous.

Only time I don't do my own work is when I don't have the tools to do the job and can't get them.
