It’s a pretty decent sized game. I think I beat it in about 30 hours. There was one large area with characters and quests that I didn’t even find until after I finished the campaign, and I didn’t complete all the optional side missions.
I just finished it and it was so fun. I want to keep playing because I haven’t maxed out all locations yet, but I’m bummed out that the story is over. I may just start a new game at some point. I’d love to see how different the experience will be in the beginning now that I have a handle on the mechanics.
I know Tabata said that the rest had survived at the end of the game though it isn’t shown, but let’s be honest; the ending is much more impactful if you assume your friends are in the Astral Plane because they died protecting you.
Actually, everything is pretty much resolved by the end the game. The plot is actually quite simple next to how complex the world building makes it seem, and I mean that in the best of ways.
Ha. I was going to say the same thing, but I’m so used to his overwrought narratives that I’ve come to expect them.
I can see Control and Outer Worlds winning too.
Yes. You nailed it on the head. I think it’s even more so with Death Stranding as a lot of people were hoping for something more along the lines of Metal Gear (though Kojima had made it clear it was anything but)
Don’t forget Asgard’s Wrath! That’s one hell of a VR game.
Omg. Bioware better do right by this storyline in Dragon Age 4. I’ll officially give up on that studio if they flub this one.
So, does having a lot of strand contracts seem to mess up how fast the areas are built up?
Thanks. Yeah, that was it. So cool what happens, btw.
Lol. I’d totally play this in VR.
Does chapter 3 start when you get to the next stop past the wind farm?
I’d say more of a hiking simulator.
Oh cool! So we can see the topography? I’ll have to try that out.
I just hope it doesn’t get gun shy like the movie did about all that.
I loved the little interactions between Ellie and Max on the ship before the end of his quest and then after.
More like it’s trying to capture the gravity of Spec Ops: The Line but not quite getting what made that game special.
I totally agree that one shouldn’t play thumper while high unless it’s in vr.
