The Elite Controller is great for this game. I map the throttle to the paddles in the back so I can more easily adjust my thrust while I’m fighting.

Sorry. I misread your post and thought you were asking if it was an mmo.

Kind of. The galaxy is persistent and a background simulation is always running, even if you play in solo mode. But the galaxy is huge. Like, to scale. I think there are about 200,000 stars that are in colonized space (the bubble) and some billion more outside of the bubble. You’re not going to run into a lot of

I think that was his point. ;)

I didn't know that and I totally agree with you. If they're putting out a good show that gets lots of views they should be able to find their own sponsors. Maybe a lot of tubers don't do it because it's more work than just letting YouTube dumb a Red Lobster ad in front of your video. :)

The problem with the YouTube model is that channels are stuck with whatever advertising YouTube pushes in front of their videos. So they’re being potentially censored for advertisers they may not even want.

Thank you for breaking the immersion that Edios carefully and painstakingly built up around vents in the Deus Ex universe.

In the original, kills helped speed up the timer a little bit, kind of like how Ults work in Overwatch. If they go back to that then it should be fine.

It ends like a bad cliffhanger?

I just read Polygon’s review. It seems that it’s not as prevalent in the game as it is in the marketing. However, the reviewer seemed to think that the writers use the social issues as just a plot device and don’t really examine it at all in the story.

Sci-Fi almost always reflects the social and political issues of the time. I think it’s kind of inherent in the world building process to extrapolate from current issues and concerns to see how they progress or apply in the future.

I’ll probably have to wait for the review, but do you mind giving just a little more detail on your thoughts about the narrative? when you say the scope is smaller, do you mean it’s a more intimate and/or focused story for Adam, or it just feels like a story-of-the-week?

Uh...wha...?

The difference between 0 and 0.0001.

Also they're quoting a tweet that came out one day before the game released and ignoring everything else said before that.

I noticed that too!

Why is he white in most of these?

The strangest thing I saw so far are these little bouncy flower creatures. They legit look like plants until they start hopping around.

Like some other in the comments, I think video game writing can seem better than it is because we can potentially be involved in how the narrative plays out, raising our level of investment and stakes in the outcome.

This. Reaper is only effective when he’s flanking and harassing the enemy (or defending a point). That’s why one of his abilities lets him teleport pretty much across the map.
