So what's the benefit of using this over Image Capture, since you can do the same thing? You can either open Preview, click file, click import, then drag and drop, or you can just open Image Capture and it immediately shows you your photos and you can drag and drop from there.

Me either -_-. I signed up around maybe 5 or 6 EST on Thursday. The announcement happened at 1. I remember that only 16k had hit the like button when I clicked join. And obviously not everyone who joined the waiting list actually thought to click the like button too, so the wait list was higher.

I think, and don't quote me because I'm really not sure, but I think it's saying that you could use the same password for all of your supposedly "app-specific" passwords, which wouldn't make them specific to each app at all. So if someone got access to one of the passwords, they could access all of those apps. Though…
