$50-ish for those curious.
I don’t think the 1/2 ton diesels are all THAT much heavier than their gasoline counterparts, being as many of them have aluminum blocks.
I assume you’re excluding turbodiesels from your comment about plowing?
Winner winner.
My understanding about the V16 was that the crankshaft was so long that it would have become part of the maintenance schedule and need to be replaced at certain intervals due to the length. Whether or not this was true is beyond me, but that’s what I remember hearing 15 years ago or so.
Don’t worry, there will still be the slamming of the dumpster or garbage cans against the dead stops AND the trash falling down into the receptacle to wake you up in the morning.
I agree with you for the most part. But from a business standpoint the buyers who are buying pickups and SUVs continue to differ more and more each year, so it probably is more profitable this way ultimately.
Exactly. Perhaps it’s a stepping stone to some actually useful feature. I know it’s a stretch... but you never know.
Other sources say the AT4 will not have the Diesel as an option. We know the Tahoe Z71 won’t have the Diesel as an option so it would make sense that the AT4 also doesn’t (if there’s interference between the skid plates or high clearance bumper with the intercooler).
No they didn’t. There was a subtle change in 03 for the GMC pickup front ends that the SUVs never got.
GM stopped sharing the rear suspension between SUVs and the pickups in 2000. The 1/2 ton SUVs got a 4 link setup with coils and the 3/4 ton SUVs had leaf springs, but didn’t share the design with the 3/4 ton pickups.
I agree it probably won’t be able to crawl rocks as well as the Jeep.
I’m sure there’s a fine line between having too much material in the airbag charge vs. none. Adding the dessicant material likely makes the charge a lot less controllable and, thus, more difficult to properly dial in. And, as you mentioned, you may need a LOT of dessicant mass for it to be effective for the life of…
This just became the word of the day in our office of enginerds. I had no idea there was a word for this!
As far as the recommendations above, I’m not even particularly nice to my cars except I drive gingerly until it reaches operating temperatures. After that, the car gets used.
Oh. I did read that response. I didn’t think that at all answered my question whereas sirdrawsalot’s response did. His comment suggested that the tracks would be reduced significantly once the playa was covered in water.
