yeah humanity has never romanticised criminality before, this is a new phenomenon. Well observed.

ACAB. Everyone in the chain that kept him employed and on the road.  It’s the entire rotten system.

An ambulance.

Hi all - Aiden here - I did end up getting a really good deal on an 09 Fit Sport with 55k miles and it is the perfect car for me. I absolutely love it. Thanks Jalops!

The 70s luxobarges are tough to beat, but I think the W123 Mercedes gives them a run for the cushy money.

Head gaskets shouldn’t be an issue on this one — the old EJ engines had that issue, and the later Imprezas moved past those entirely.

I spotted this beauty last week near my cardiologist’s office.

Riiiiight... it’s not the 62,000,000 people who voted for a fascist. It’s the 100,000 or so guys who didn’t support either of the two major party candidates who are to blame.

The Court’s previous decision: “The president is above the law.”

Eh. By that logic they shouldn’t be allowed to sell cars either because the best interest of the dealership, manufacturer and customer are not aligned.

Ahahaha hell yes. As someone who works in construction, I strongly identify this. “Where’s the nearest door on this document? Does it look like it’s 3' wide? Ok, set the scale from there.”

I still think it’s humorous how the Secret Service wouldn’t let the production design team of White House Down anywhere near the Beast for measurements so the movie’s doppelganger limo could be accurate. Movie team’s solution: since those are actual Caddy headlights, all dimensions were scaled off the size of the light

There is a lot unreported.

Same.  If I’m just going to pay the card off when I get home, why NOT get the rewards back from using the card?

If you roll those fees in to the lease, you pay $59. If you pay them up front, you pay $19. I spelled that out in the blog.

The tesla’s are quick only.. they lack in feel/feedback and driver experience which is important. The GR86 & Miata aren’t quick by any means, but enthusiasts love them because they provide a fun driving experience.

I love how acceleration has become a ‘trick’. I’ve spent decades and untold dollars in the pursuit of going faster, as I’m sure many enthusiasts have, and acceleration was kinda the goal. Now these cars show up that will blow the doors off 95% of anything they might come across at a stoplight and suddenly that

I can’t count the number of “races” I’ve been without realizing I was in a race, or wanting to be in said race. I have a Golf R—which somebody earlier in the thread already pointed out makes me an asshole—but contrary to popular belief, I don’t want to drag race at every stoplight when I’m next to a Tesla.

The Nissan Altima is just driven by people with 300 credit scores and no drivers license, not necessarily idiots.

The Nissan Altima is the obvious answer, but there’s another that I’ve observed in my commute: Dodge Chargers. They’re getting up there in years and don’t hold value. As a result, they’re landing in buy-here pay-here lots and being snatched up by idiots.
