Julien is a very similar coach to Therrien in terms of style so I’d be curious to see how much actually changes up there. All of those things square peg, not playing to kid’s strengths. All were said of Julien in Boston regarding Pastrnak, Carlo, etc

Claude Julien was very much part of the problem in Boston. They were well on their way to a 3rd straight season of just barely missing the playoffs besides having more than enough talent to get there. His style was not flexible and didn’t adapt to the roster. Great coach, but it was time to go.

Travis Kelce does elaborate dances after touchdowns, makes jerking off motions toward refs on the field, gets a stupid unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after dropping an important pass in a playoff game, and has his own reality show in which women compete for the chance to date him. Yet somehow he doesn’t get half the

So let me get this straight: The post in question wasn’t written by Kukla, but rather, someone from Kukla’s Clan?

you’re right.

Scott Boras citing the concerns of a fan base is a sure sign that he is not telling you the whole truth.

Eli, sadly, was not invited

You’re right; this is kind of dumb. A 99 yard TD run doesn’t become a TD until the runner crosses the goal line, but nobody would claim that the score took zero seconds. They just should have said the TD took zero seconds (which is rare enough) and been done with it.

Double negatives aren’t not confusing.

He had been a four-sport athlete in high school, playing football, baseball, lacrosse and lacrosse.

Is being the “champion” of something like this really a thing to be proud of?

Wait til you get a load of 2017...

“In additon to Danny. You have playmakers all around.” Meaning not justnin the backfield. You have to worry about Danny, the wr. You’re better than this, Samer.

Yes, but I think it’s at least plausible that the mistake that was made was talking about Danny Amendola when asked about running backs, or he was just saying “and by the way, you have to worry about Danny, too.” Which is wrong either way, but that would just be absurd if he was referring to Woodhead. I’ve got nothing

Simmons tweet isn’t right, but neither is the view that ESPN is everything and all talent is replacement level. Simmons was on the awful Page 2 when he started. It’s not as if Jim Caple and Nick Bakay (“Advatage Pushhhhhh”) became cultural phenomenons too.

Well, he may know. He just want to GET good, and may not be willing to give up. After all, he already became massively successful at web writing, books and podcasts. People like new challenges.

I know — it’s my fault for coming back. But you have four posts on the NFL today: how to ignore it, a stadium taxes thing, a celebration penalty, and a concussion. Just stop covering the sport if you hate it.

Sorry friend, in the universe of basketball hipsters Draymond Green is untouchable. I have friends who insist he’s better than Curry. I think he’s eminently replaceable but oh well.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. This isn’t a hot take, either — it’s the stance of this site when it doesn’t like the outcome of the investigations.
