You stand for male fantasies of womanhood that rely on misogynistic tropes of what it means to be a woman, which in turn lead to harmful gender roles.

OK we'll send them all to your place. Please have them clean by morning. Thanks!

Can you show me where she actually said that, verbatim? Or are you taking her statements about HER PERSONAL GENDER EXPRESSION and twisting them in the most ridiculous way possible?

First strip ever.

I’m afraid that, for minority languages, the situation in other countries is not much better. I speak a minority language (Galician, in Spain), and is one of the official languages in the country, the schools teach it to children and in spite of that, you can have problems to get a job in certain companys if you speak

“Many of the works, unsurprisingly, are the work of aristocratic and even royal women passing the time.” This is a pretty ignorant sentence. No one would ever say that a man who happened to be wealthy and also practiced a highly skilled craft was doing so just to “pass the time”. They clearly had an artistic passion.

Worth it for more of this....

You know...I think Lucille Ball should have been my nomination for most beautiful woman of all time yesterday. Or was it the day before? Either way. Class-ic.

I worked at Yale’s Manuscripts and Archives for a year and change in the mid-90s. We were forever finding fabulous texts and objects, like Camille Paglia’s typewritten PhD thesis, or part of the prow of some alumnus’s whaling ship. My personal favorite was the wooden card cabinet filled with a sort of bibliography of

No! See it was a joke! You thought you were drinking a non-alcoholic beverage haha cause you’re an alcoholic haha and your dad drank himself to death haha and you’re trying to stay sober. But I put rum in the drink there when you went to the bathroom haha. And then you didn’t know you were drunk so you drove home and

As an aside...it’s really sad how common this narrative is. A close friend saw her husband run off with his high-school crush, leaving her with pretty much full-time care of their nine month old son (despite lots of lip service from the guy about how he’s still suuuuuch a good dad, eye roll). Another mutual friend had

So not a fan of her father’s, but I have always had a soft spot for her. She always looks great, seems poised and intelligent, and she had a pretty awesome cover story in Seventeen back when it was THE magazine for me in the ‘90s.

Good point, asking about trees is just evidence of media bias. They should ask what kind of gun would you be.

Why are you even trying to love her?

(Read to the end) I’m currently 31 and a year into so-far unsuccessful colon cancer treatment. I actually start low-dose chemo and radiation in approximately 9 hours and have to go to work afterwords. I went through seven rounds of some pretty damn heavy duty chemo earlier in the year, and had to work through it all,

I’m hopefully completing my conversion next year. I’m so excited! I find a lot of comfort in it. Happy for Zoey! I’m kvelling for her!

Zooey is one of us now, have no idea how to react to this news.

I have to say, I agree with Tim. This was a terrible season. It makes me sad how lackluster this show has become. Consider this: I rewatched the LA season (which I HATED when it aired), and in comparison, it was really great.
