Like Returnal, we don’t need manual saves, we need save and quit. Just the ability to stop playing and go to bed, or go make dinner.

I am a Random main as well... but mostly because I’m not great with anyone anyway and just prefer leaning into the chaos with whoever the game picks.

At least I never used the word florid.

The real question is does this count as an accurate prediction for Jason?

as far as i can tell their mentality is as far as apex goes is you must quit so you can immediately get back into the next game where you hotdrop and die instantly.

They let me out of the basement to do a bit of weekday work.

Zack.  You do know that it’s Monday, right?  Go to bed.  Your watch has ended.  Sleep well, kind prince.

Fuck CDPR.

Being “rewarded” with a chance to win gifts from a raffle system where tickets are “paid” via mandatory extra hours is the premise of a Black Mirror episode that has yet to be written.

As someone who still plays FFT regularly, but hasn’t input a move in years, count me in. When Auto-chess became a thing I couldn’t help but think FFT had already invented it but better. One thing though, this really needs some terrain added.

Very glad to see that Tim Rogers’ response was an 8 minute rant defending Metroidvania

Jim Spanfeller is doing more to hurt the internet than the dot com bust. Deadspin is dead, Kotaku is dying. Where are we gonna get the good shit?

I guess this sort of thing was inevitable given the state of the company and the people “running” things, but this still really sucks.

Jim Spanfeller is a boneheaded incompetent idiot and I have no idea why anyone would expect him to make a smart business decision.

Bye Gita and Josh. Good luck!

Fucking herb

It’s a new year, so this is your semi-regular reminder that if you’re a freelance writer, you can (and should!) pitch Kotaku, using the email address pitches@kotaku.com, with your story ideas. Include some clips to let us know who you are as a writer and what you can bring to the table.

Good Kinja right here.

In true Luke Plunkett fashion, I’m gonna rank your 10 GOTY picks in order of which provides the best sneakerhead experience.
