Ferrous pans. So not copper, not aluminum. None of my fancy pots work on it which are a bi-metal sandwiched together.

Sadly I can confirm on carbon steel. Had a kitchen remodel and used an induction hotplate for the interim and my carbon steel pan warped on it, now it doesn’t sit flat. Induction is awesome as a concept but it’s still got some growing pains in my opinion.
Wow. I mean, election tampering was real in the 2016 election coming straight out of Russia man, there was a whole commission on that. One was real and proven, the other was not.
Agreed because even if W was a buffoon, he was sincere. I can work with that.
About 5 years ago. They also briefly owned a company called “greenlight” that sold you a car at a fixed price that you collected from a local dealership.
best case scenario on 110v you’re looking at about 3 miles an hour.
I just learned that the lyric isn’t “go go godzilla.” It’s been quite a day.
“Point is, climbing up the ladder involves stepping on others as rungs.” That is saddeningly cynical. I’ve done quite well climbing the ladder on the ideal that a rising tide raises all boats. It isn’t a zero sum game.
“the men who’d feel emasculated if the mulch for next spring’s landscaping project was delivered in an actual delivery truck rather than using their own vehicle.” I can’t imagine projecting so much on another person. Maybe they just like doing it themselves and honestly what does that have to do with you? Would you…
They are simpler to repair in the sense that you swap out whole components, not repair individual parts. You don’t just replace a rocker arm, you replace the motor. That is simpler. It does means repairs will be more expensive because you’re replacing far more than just the failed part. That may change over time but…
False. Inflation adjusted a Selectric was about $3000 in today’s dollars or about 3x the cost of mid range laptop and printer.
That is a weird one that threw me off too but there is a latch to recline either side about as much as an airplane seat does. I suspect that is what was going on. Feature not a bug.
People like consistency. They like it so much they’ll eat a McDonalds cheeseburger knowing full well the baseline is low for the product. My neighbor and I both recently received our Tesla’s (Model Y LR) in their latest delivery window.
Apple is the worst example of this since they are known for supporting their devices well beyond their competition. Typically when a service stops working it is because it exceeds the power (computational/battery) that device can manage due to increased customer expectations or security protocols. I say this as no fan…
Iron Duke baby!
No shit. I am very interested in the lightning. Coming off of a recent Tesla purchase, I was immediately put off when looking to put a deposit down, Ford immediately wanted to shuffle me over to my local retailer without letting me play with the configurator or see pricing first. Lame. Get with the program Ford.
This is exactly my use case. I walk to work and the truck is a second car for when my wife needs to take one kid somewhere and I take the other, which happens several times a week. I’m disgusted by the 17mgp my Tundra gets and would love an electric pickup. A couple times a year we drive into the wilderness (actual…
Thirded. In my defense I used to be a guitar teacher and worked in a music store.
This guy urban trucks.
Holy crap your take away from all that was there was no election interreference by the Russians? There are about a million news sources out there that reported on this, I picked Time.com because they seemed pretty neutral.
