But if you someone to do your income taxes, Sheldon’s your man. But humpin’ and pumpin’ is not Sheldon’s strong suit.

I don’t know what this means but you made me weep.  Thank you.

Well, it might depend on what she was wearing . . .

Yeah. I figured that’s exactly what they’d say. I’d expect them to try to rip each other apart during the series but after the final whistle, shake hands.  I saw the footage of Harden running off - as we have all seen before - but I did not see the same thing with Paul and, based on his post-game comments, thought

I will accept all of that as true.  An asshole who was pretty good post-game.  But, as they say, a broken clock is still right twice per day.

Agreed.  I just hope that Lacob is not sitting there to take credit for the decisions - the decisions to hire the right people, yes, but not the actual decisions.

You may be right - I don’t know how he is away from the cameras and away from the game. But for those whose exposure is limited to what they see on TV/online when watching the games, highlights, post-game, State Farm ads, it’s a much better look to stand up, take questions and not make excuses (which is how I was left

Klay used “moxie” last night from the podium. Not getting any love.  Ya sure have moxie, Kid.

And he’s still really young.  I’m no longer having, “hot potato!  hot potato!”, moments when he has the ball (as I used to every time the ball would find his hands).  His growth has been great to watch and his role will become even more important next year.

I’m not going to defend Paul - I can’t stand his game (and combined with Harden, they make the Rockets one of the most difficult teams to watch). And I think the story about the court strikes of the type of lame psychological gamesmanship he’d attempt (“ooo. Watch me get in Steph’s head . . . So cool”). But, at least

Pretty sure that Chris Paul stayed on the court while Harden took off running. Paul was also very gracious from the podium (as was D’Antoni)

Pretty much the same shit as every other generation - the difference is that they often “say” it in posts and those posts can be repeated endless times and they can cause deeper damage (to the utterer or the utteree, depending on the nature of the insult and the related blowback)

One of my kids (one of my soon-to-be-13-yo daughters) was running around the house shouting “these mutherfuckers are crazy!” after Iggy’s line was picked up in the audio.  No “T” for swearing in our house.  Bad parent but tolerant fan.

Pretty sure the fans were crisis actors

Well, I have not seen his birth certificate.  Have you?

Fucking launch angle generation.  In my day, we’d have taken it right through the box and really teach the kid a lesson about pitch location.

Your description makes me think of Billy Idol appearing in the climactic scene of the cinematic classic, The Wedding Singer. Not sure why but it did.

I think he’s a gym rat.  A real student of the game.

Fortunately, I have never experienced that -it has been a while since I worked in SF (10+ years) but I am thinking that I may need to cross the Bay next week.  And kick those suitcases out of the way!

Swan’s is fucking amazing.  You have to get there early (11a) if you want lunch or you are waiting forever.  It all goes really well with an Anchor Steam.
