Dang. I cried.

Very true that! Although a lot of bands on bandcamp offer free downloads at high quality and even lossless. This one for e.g. I downloaded recently.

The one I have is 7" x 4.5" x about 3/8"-1/2" thick. So basically, it’s about the size of a paperback novel (only of course much thinner). I’m 6'6 and have fairly large hands and I have no problem holding it, in fact it makes it easier to be able to reach all the corners of the screen.

Yeah, I always feel guilty when I go to the ‘library’.

I have to say, I travel a bit, and the Paperwhite is awesome. The book experience is 80% as good in natural light conditions, but when you’re on a dark plane, the backlighting is perfect for reading. Also, I too prefer the feel of a real book, but the paperwhite holds hundreds of books, so when I’m on a long haul

Exactly. When I’m at home or in my office, I always prefer a traditional book. Plus there will always be some books where there’s simply no way to reproduce correctly in a digital format (I’m currently reading S by Doug Dorst and JJ Abrams, and it’s a perfect example.)

I got my first Kindle (2nd gen) back in 2009/2010, and I upgraded to the third gen a couple years later. I still use my second Kindle regularly, and gave the old one to my parents.

I like the Paperwhite because I can tuck it in my bag, and read when I get a chance. It’s much smaller than a paperback and I have a choice of many different books to read. You can share a Kindle account with anybody you’d trust enough to give your credit card; so I’m on one with a few family members and very close

In that case, you probably need an ebook reader that can read ePub, which the Kindle cannot, although I heard there are workarounds with Calibre.

Well obviously you have to weigh the cost of book publishers attempting to kill you with the savings on a few good books.

I don’t know if Kindle has similar programs, but my Nook allows me to check out books from my local library anytime, anywhere. Best $50 I ever spent. Plus I am on an email list that allows me to “buy” classics for free. I have a veritable shitload of literature on this thing. I just wish I could back it up somehow in

I was the same way until I actually used electronic books. I can carry a variety of books with me, keep notes, bookmarks, etc., and they sync across devices—e.g. if I read on my iPad at night, I can pick up on my iPhone over break.

I think the odds are in favor that it will be worth the investment. The heft of a book is great but the satisfaction of downloading a book from the comfort of your bed at night is better.

It might be different in the UK, but here in the US, you can “rent” lots of books for free with a Prime membership, and they have frequent one-day sales that discount popular books to $2-$3.

It’s totally reasonable that it would seem that way, but stacked vaccinations have been tested repeatedly for safety and there is no evidence of harm. It’s safe to immunize against multiple viruses in one shot.

If they go for another male actor (crushing my dreams of seeing Tamsin Grieg play the Doctor as an ennui-riddled ex-punk rocker rediscovering that fire of youth through her Companion), my vote for the next Doctor is Richard Aoyade. Smart, funny, adorably dorky, cute as hell, and as a talented writer and film maker he

If you were a Brit, wouldn’t you say ‘pissed off’ rather than ‘pissed’? Brits use ‘pissed’ for drunk; ‘pissed’ for being annoyed is a purely American thing.

I bought the game for Xbox1 and played about an hour or two of it and found it really boring. I didn’t like the fact that people could just pop into my game and ‘help’ me out, I dont like Online Multiplayer games that much and heard of this but was told it had a single player mode, but yh after playing it, I just

Do people designing these things ever take into consideration that games need to process more than than just visuals.
