When I travel internationally, it’s really interesting to see American brands that are not all that popular/common in the US being the complete opposite.

Sex is called “shipping” now?
Look at the light spots on the leaves shadows, they’re in the shape of a crescent.
I’ll maybe get interested if it ever actually happens. Crowd funding by unproven studios is not for me.
Way too expensive for my blood. They’re asking for more than I bought the physical books for, brand new.
I’m still laughing at them asking $60 for this so long after release. They’re free to ask whatever they want of course, but there’s a lot of other games out there.
People put way too much stock into pings. It’s just one factor out of many.
“Rip” isn’t a very accurate statement. Now, if he powered it via something like a spring, then you could get some sheets flying off!
It’s civil, not criminal.
This has indeed been a train wreck. Like you, at least I’m only out $20! I feel bad for the higher tier backers.
I’m not sure I get your logic. Them also making a trading card game, sure (the card game was mentioned in the original pitch despite what this article says), but as to them not being able to execute the SRPG ... why?
The part you’re missing is Playdek claimed they didn’t need the money, it was just to expand the scope. That’s why $660k didn’t send off huge red flags. In addition, the original timeline was no where close to 4 years.

GB -> GB Color = 9 years
GB Color -> GBA = 3 years
GBA -> DS = 3 years
DS -> 3DS = 7 years
Same can be said for pretty much every popular console. We’re in the “cross-generation” period right now, but as time passes and Switch market shares rise, more and more titles will not get released on both.
Good, I’ll plan on the PS4 version (or maybe PC if they do that).
I want this game, but I just know it will turn out like Minecraft did for me. I’m just not creative enough to make things even a quarter as cool.
Unfortunately the world has told developers, in a very loud and clear voice known as opening their wallets, that they DO want gambling mechanics and that they do in fact LOVE microtransactions.
