Doesn’t seem unusual. It isn’t uncommon for DLC/microtransaction purchases to give an edge. It’s the carrot.

Steam and GOG. Not sure why he didn’t link to it.

Well Jason, why don’t you delay the game to balance it out? You know you want to!

They probably think the story is the only important feature for their games. After all, a point and click adventure *is* all about the story. Their engine is just so old, and performing worse each release it seems. (And I’m not talking graphics)

There are numerous bad games out there, made with the best of intentions and the loftiest of dreams.

Only players/NPCs. Not monsters, or magic items, or any number of other things a DM needs.

That’s disappointing. I know they need to make money, they’re a business after all, but that just seems excessive.

Humm.

I’ve no idea who you’re talking about, but nothing you said is relevant to what I posted.

Japan is a single market, and not the largest. The world wide PS4 and 3DS install base are pretty close. The Switch isn’t, yet, but at the pace it’s going it will get there.

We’ll see who’s laughing when you reach retirement age, and you’ve got kid(s) to put through college, while the rest of us who are long since done watch those dollars pile up for an early retirement while we’re still alive to enjoy it ;)

Really shows the age of the 3DS. Six years hasn’t been kind to it, but then Nintendo doesn’t start out very high in specs to begin with which doesn’t help that at all.

Except games “pushing back” from the holiday season into February/March is extremely common. It may not be AS crowded, but it certainly isn’t a slow period.

Just look at the other replies ;)

And people called me crazy for saying the Switch would replace the 3DS and Wii U...

Bravely Default wasn’t really automated though, unless you constructed a build powerful enough, and leveled enough, to basically OHKO the enemy. They wouldn’t auto-heal when needed for example.

Just to make sure people have the timeline correct, FFXII came out before DA:O. They’re very similar systems though, and Bioware clearly got their inspiration from XII.

Kotaku re-published this story so you can expect more replies (like now). It’s the HD remaster of the original post (Ha!).
