Yup. I’m a CPA and work with a bunch of contractors who drive trucks like these (one has this exact truck in the article). I go to lengths to make sure they don’t see my in my Cayman, because they’d think they’re overpaying me.

See, I always thought people spent money on truck like these specifically to NOT show off. Picture this, you’re a successful contractor, and want a nice vehicle, but for credibility reasons with your employees and customers, you can’t show up in a 70k luxury sedan. In comes this truck.
