What kind of poo is this!? I went on the Fiat wetbsite, and the Abarth isn’t available in the blue you’ve posted David. I am dissapoint... That blue is fucking amazing.
Man, that blue on the Abarth is really making me want one! If the damn thing were class competitive, I would get one for sure. Why is it stuck in GS!? As it is, I’ll probably go with the old Clubman JCW or a new generation Clubman S FWD (once they hit the used lots, too steep for my blood.)
It’s a good thing I don’t live in CA...
I have so much love for the Cobra R Mustang variants. I don’t have much money to afford them, nor would I want to drive a 2000 Cobra R on a regular basis. I absolutely love the 4V Mod motors. Sure, the LS makes more power, weighs less, and is more compact, but it has no soul. There is something very exciting about…
I want one, because they are practical and competitive for their autocross class. However, I’m not convinced the transmission has been sorted out, I’m not in love with it, I will kick myself for not buying an STI, even though it’s not very competitive.
I don’t think I have any channels that broadcast this stuff. I got interested in World Superbike after watching the Troy Bayliss documentary. Anywhere I can watch it live?
Don’t you dare speak ill of the Targa top! It’s the best of both worlds. Hard top when it’s poor weather, open roof the rest of the time. Don’t have to worry about track days that require a hard top or anything. It’s just the best.
All the hard work already done for $4,000? One of the best looking 80's sports cars, LS power and reliability. It’s so close to perfection with just a T-56 swap, which should not be hard at all. NP all day every day. Hell, with a shift kit, the 4L60E wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world either.
I wouldn’t ever go larger in diameter, and probably not much on the width. I’ve seen many an old English or Italian sports car on modern 200 tw street tires, dot slicks, and actual road race slicks. They do just fine. The issue is that 13 and 14" tires are very hard to find. 13" wheels are fairly plentiful, for…
My roomate has a few sets of Minilites, one set are legit mag wheels and the other are aluminum alloys. The mags are on an MGB racer with no windshield, stripped out, roll bar, etc. Beautiful car, we need to get the motor back in it. We just found out Avon still makes racing slicks for 14" wheels, which is amazing…
The Daisy wheels never looked as good as the true Minilite wheels. With some gray metallic paint, they can look decent, but overall, they aren’t very light and they are ugly. Also, 14" wheels suck for finding decent tires.
Why can’t people put half way decent tires on their classic cars? Are they so dedicated to being 100% original that modern tires ruin it?
I didn’t say it was a bad thing. Damn guys, you are all really misinterpreting what I’m trying to say. It’s a ton of money invested into something that isn’t worth much and never will be worth much. It’s not like an Icon Bronco that is now worth more money, more capable, etc. This is like putting a ton of time and…
Yeah, but the amount of work going into the XJ is dramatically less than what went into this Niva.
The front fairing isn’t for me, but this is amazing. STOP TEMPTING ME TO GET A DUAL SPORT! I really like the Yamaha WR-250, but I think I would get bored on it, and I’m kind of not a thumper guy.
That could be really awesome, or really awful. Both are believable in a VW Thing.
I get it, I’ve put a lot of work into my Miata and I plan on putting more work into it. This just makes me think of modifying a Camry.
Oh, no doubt, but it’s a lot of work for such a cheap and common vehicle.
Not to disparage this persons’s hard work, but that’s a lot of work for a Lada Niva...
