You do know the Miata was sold from 1989-2005 with an optional removeable hard top. Then Mazda made a hardtop, at great cost, for the 2006-2014 Miata, not to mention the power retractable hard top. They didn’t make a coupe. It’s a fiberglass top that you can take off.

Why does it have five lug hubs!?

I already have a Miata. The point is to get an exciting daily driver that’s practical and still autocross competitive. There really isn’t much, really just the Fiesta ST it seems. I don’t think that Jaguar and other makes like them are behind the curve. Look at Cadillac, they beat the M3/4 at its own game. As a whole,

My current car isn’t particularly competitive. Hopefully after my header, revised intake, and new crank pulley, I can pick up some time. Eventually I’ll have a stand alone ECU as well. However, I would like to get a daily driver to be my new AX car that is competitive. I’m out to have fun, but it would be more fun to

Sorry I hurt your ego. The car just isn’t for me

My region is also hyper competitive and has a ton of good talent. We have about a dozen drivers that have won a national championship or placed at nationals. We actually have a “Pro” class that is now split between street tires and R comps. Instead of just competing in open classes, Pro will just be against other

I have a hard time believing it is competitive against the FoST and GTI, of which we have several in GS in my region. Even in HS it would be a stretch. The FiST has more power and marginally more weight, with better seats and other nice things. I love the Abarth, but it’s a hard sell for me because of autocross

Meh, I don’t need AWD or crazy power, I just need it to have a better suspension and stiffer chassis. I have a 2015 Yamaha FZ-09, that will soon have a new suspension. Extreme performance is not something I need for my daily driver/autocross car. All of the most interesting cars are noncompetitive, which sucks.

Exactly, it’s an amazing car, but it’s still boring to me. You can get a diff in it now, at great cost. None of the really cool cars are autocross competitive...

Well said. This is why, as good as the new GTI is, I don’t particularly want one. They are just kind of the safe enthusiast car. Unfortunately, there is a tiny market for cars that are competitive in autocross street classes that are still practical. This means I’m pretty much stuck with one of the ST cars or a GTI...

Derp... I knew that...

Only Spyker can make 90's green glow on gauges look good...

What class is it in now? Still in GS against the FoST? It looks like it would be an amazing ST car, but I’m pretty sure it goes to STX, where it will get shat upon by everything else in that class. I want one, but I also want a competitive autocross car.

I want one, but it won’t be competitive in autocross. I also want a four door car. It seems like the Fiesta ST is the only car in existence that is fun to drive, not painfully slow, practical, and competitive.

Wrong article, this is an automatic. You are thinking of the Spyker article.

I didn’t call it a protest, the article did. Trolling, protest, satire, parody, whatever you want to call the action, it is still deserved. The company lied to thousands, cheated multiple governments, and caused a ton of environmental damage. You can dismiss it if you want, that’s up to you.

You mean like comedians protest/satirize/parody events happening outside of their own countries all the time? That’s just crazy!

Interesting that the rally variant uses different hubs.

The fact that they’ve been dragging their feet for some time now on fixing USDM cars.

Drone is not a good thing. Nobody likes drone. My Mach Juan sounds incredible, but it drones something awful on the highway.
