I’m a heavy-set dude who plays a ton of video games (even Fortnite sometimes) and this scene was funny to me. I agree the salad joke was the weakest. I loved the “cheez whiz veins” quip, some people just try too hard to be offended.

I... it’s... they’re for fucking. You wear them just before and during the act of getting fucked. Is this really a question?

My favorite is his phone conversation with Ethan after he kidnaps his wife. “Don’t threaten me. Just... don’t.” In the kind of exasperated tone you would tell your kid to stop talking about poo poos and butts.

Am I alone in really liking XV? I know the reaction was mixed, but... I’ve been playing since III(US) and got really hardcore around the time of VII/Tactics and it’s one of my favorite of the modern FF titles. I enjoyed it more than X and XII combined and it was certainly more fun than XIII (another deeply flawed FF

Because it rules? You’re welcome, science.

Also a beard person here... what kind of little girl beards are you guys growing? The beard pictured here is pretty darn groomed.

Don’t remember saying it was particularly original. 99% of fantasy is Tolkien-derived. WoT is no exception; it’s just very good, in my opinion.

Violence-wise, I’d compare it to Star Wars. There are lots of big battles and characters definitely die, but it’s nothing like the gleefully gruesome stuff in Game of Thrones. The main character spends most of Book 6 in captivity and there’s some harrowing stuff there, but it’s mostly mental/PTSD type stuff.

The first book is great. The series is pretty great but the pace gets glacial during Book 4 and then from Book 6 onward, even glacial would be generous. There are some peculiar idiosyncrasies the author falls back on frequently that will either amuse or annoy you.

Honestly, I think the adaptation could benefit from a stronger focus on Moraine, Elayne, Egwene and Nynaeve. And Min and Aviendah too, when they show up.

There is almost none, as I recall. Although lots of scenes of women bathing, and the main character eventually ends up with a harem.

That was when I finally quit. I did eventually come back after the series FINALLY ended, but that’s still such a gross thing. Since Game of Thrones will inevitably be an influence, I don’t see them changing it for the series, though I wish they would.

It was in the Ang Lee film but I was unaware it had any basis in the comics.

Came just to see if anyone mentioned this line. I love Lebowski but that line is one that pops into my head without warning and sends me into a fit of laughter. Perhaps the greatest retort in modern cinema.

Well. I feel dumb.

Man, this is one salty update.

I feel where you’re coming from but I don’t really think that’s the situation here. The person who put this story out there has on numerous occasions said she wasn’t talking about Louis. No one else has ever claimed he did this or anything like it to them. You don’t have to dismiss women’s claims to defend him. In

What more can he really say at this point? He hasn’t actually been directly accused of anything in the first place. The source of the story is vague, non-commital and possibly insane anyway. I don’t think he should give the story any more momentum; he’s already addressed it in an interview.

This is pretty reckless of
