Batman does some neat batmany stuff in the fight scene, batarangs, ropes a few guys to the ceiling, comes up from under the floor when they expected him from above. I just appreciate it because its the first time batmans ever appeared that mobile. The only things i didnt like were the grenade, and him needlessly

I can see the heels being sort of sexist, but the costume doesnt look particularly exploitative, while still being faithful.

Ditto on the penny dreadful finale, which the more i've thought about the less i've liked. Its like they didnt know what to do anymore, so they just wrapped it up in the most transparent way possible.

Poor dog, it was so cute. The dog dying has become sort of a predictable trope, but it was still hard to watch.

I'm not too into W & D either, which is disappointing given all the great stuff I heard about it. I almost gave up halfway through the first volume, but I stuck through it for some reason. The tone of the writing is so insufferably smug, which I guess is just Kieron Gillen's thing, and I'm not a fan of McKelvie's

Same here with Pretty Deadly. I've only read the first trade, and i'll probably pick up the second, but right now I just admire it more than I actually like it. I'm not sure why its not clicking, maybe its too flowery or something.

Just throw a bunch of random Dewbacks and Rontos in the way, blocking any empty spots with at-at walkers and imperial transports. Honestly though, Tatooine wouldn't be the most pleasant environment for your magical disneyland vacation, unless you like getting pushed around by stormtroopers.

Yeah, I don't know what the author's talking about. How is this landscape easier to build than Tatooine would be in the natural desert of southern California, or the flat marshland of Orlando (which might make a pretty cool Dagobah)?

Uhhh….what?

Yeah, I remember when a part 2 to any movie was almost always an object of derision. It's only now that movies are made specifically to spawn sequels, which has improved the quality of sequels, but made individual movies less satisfying.

Thank god for that. Speaking of that though, did the Jayden Smith version not inspire a lot of similar "ruined my childhood" moaning?

Good Luck!!!!

"and the W on her chest, we like to think of it as the broken spine of a mutilated corpse."

The Princess and the Frog was a rush job? Okay….

Chihuahua!

Yeah, I don't have a lot of hope for video game movies either. Considering that video games have advanced far enough graphically to look like movies, and how the excess of CGI has turned actual movies into video game cutscenes, the whole idea seems pretty redundant. I mean, games like Uncharted are basically

Wreck it Ralph, kinda?

Right, I know it wasn't written that way, but I think it would have made more sense if Geillis had encountered Claire in the 1960's before she travelled back. But either thats not the way it was written in the books, or the writers didn't look ahead far enough to set that up.

Oh I certainly didn't mean you. I meant all those other non-mutant powered theater nerds, you are certainly not annoying in any way. Please don't maul me.

I would love to see Hamilton, and i'm happy that a person of puerto rican descent has gotten this much mainstream fame and respect. But i love hating on Hamilton. Admittedly, it comes out of bitterness, but its just so much fun.
