Saying “I have cancer” is like saying “I have a virus.” A deadly virus? Or one that you’ll get over in a few weeks? Cancer can kill you in 2 years or 200. Say what kind of cancer you have and people will hurl money at charities that research it. Do a favor to everyone with that specific type of cancer, Kate.

It always bugs me that they bothered to put tzitzit and tehelet on the clothing but not in the correct fashion. Like they did so much research and just missed some key elements of it.

If we had the same “believe survivors” attitude that we have now, he might have survived in court but the damage to his reputation would have been irreversible.

Speaking as someone who’s kosher, there’s a reason we do NOT believe store owners and send someone sent in independently at least twice a check to make sure everything is ... you know, kosher. And they catch stuff ALL THE TIME.

You can do that when you have an order for another season in your hands.

If you don’t end every season on a deeply satisfying note, you are just plain irresponsible as a writer.

Yeah but we’re gonna lower the bar just a little because it’s Tim Allen and just be grateful if they spend an episode where he learns that gender is just a social construct.

Briefly thought I was looking at the Witcher when I scrolled down the front page to see this image.

Well I guess it’s nice that a couple people (Beeple and the other people in on the “sale” at the auction house) who got super rich by scamming are also willing to put out a terrible game where the rest of us can kill time being poor. Most bigger scammers - Ponzi scheme people, the entire international art market -

There’ve been a couple news reports about how the tech isn’t really there and might never be. The companies have been over promising. It’s just too expensive and difficult for a product that is, by some accounts, still not quite meat. Vox posted a pretty disappointing article on it.

It’s still nice to see that some networks are willing to renew shows.

Now I’m remembering some of this. I did enjoy his earlier movies, but only in the theater, when audience experience was a huge part of it. I saw one of them in an empty theater and it was awful and I noticed all of the terrible things about it, so I dropped off. He is undoubtedly talented but also very cheap and

Please expand on this.

I liked the season, though I think the dialogue was weak and some of the characters were so despicable that it was hard to root for them. But I was happy with the ending and the overall show.

What, child actors aren’t good? When did that start being a thing?!?

Yeah, when they sit at the base of the tree, are they mouse-sized or human-sized?

I just want to see when they adapt this if the animals are animal-sized in relation to the forest around them or human-sized. The art in the books was never consistent about it.

It just ... looks weird. It’s a movie about colonization of the Middle East and uses Middle Eastern languages and they just could not find a single actor to read some lines? When it’s already hard enough for them to find work?

And the fremen were the original colonizers!
