Amen to that. I know I'll be commenting a lot less (and therefore coming here a lot less) now that I know that no one will ever be seeing my comments once again.

Agreed. I've been here for a long time and was once a starred commenter under a different account (pre-facebook login, I just didn't want to link FB to my gawker stuff so that login was dead) and it was so arbitrary, sometimes you got starred if you got a COTD, sometimes you didn't. It really felt like a junior-high

I agree that users with 'stars' should be somehow notched in as an automatic 'approved to post' rule. I have probably 500 or so stars, around there or maybe more, but that's a great idea for approved users because one would imagine that a regular starred poster, at a certain level, has proved we're not

i think the problem with the last time they did this is that none of the writers took the time to go through comments and approve people.

Agreed. They need a clear procedure for getting out of the grays. I posted for months (sometimes sporadically), I always posted relatively good quality posts (I check my spelling and try to stay on topic), and I sometimes even managed to get lots of recommends. I don't mind doing my time, but I need to know I'm

The old comment system made me feel like commenting was pointless. im pretty excited to have just learned I no longer need an account here because commenting is pointless again.

I'm all for bringing back the greys, with one condition:

This is pretty much a textbook example of how abusive relationships start. Isolating you by driving your friends away, belittling your opinions, and constantly accusing you of cheating; these are all massive red flags. This guy isn't going to change for the better, but he's almost certainly going to get worse. Run

I wanted to adopt the little boy, but now I just want both of them to get out of there! This really is the worst.

oh, it says he was a sex offender in the US...is he now an Australian? or always an Australian but a criminal in the US.

As far as I can tell, all of the parts suck, except for the surrogate taking care of Gammy.

Gee an American man who seeks a foreign internet bride is a sex offender??? Color me shocked and surprised!

andthatsnotrelatedtowhyonlytgedaughterwenthomewiththem. Please. Please?

So it turns out the guy who abandoned his child because it was born with Down's is even worse that we thought? Yikes.

... and they kept the daughter. I'm going to be busy vomiting up my soul for the next few hours.

At the risk of being that Would Not Bang guy, I've always thought that she is surprisingly "unattractive" for a supermodel (which is to say within the normal range of pretty instead of god-like beautiful). But she also seems to be amazingly cool for a supermodel. I wonder if those two things are linked.

I don't know the specific softie situation, but the insurance thing isn't always a good excuse. Call around to different therapists and I'll almost guarantee you can find one that will cut you a deal, and if they can't, ask if they know someone who can. You'd be amazed at how many therapists will just about bend

I second this. And yes, he already has all of your passwords. And possibly a keystroke program on your laptop. It may sound crazy, but they're cheap and easily installed - and no more crazy than sniffing your legs.

GTFO now.

No, yesterday.

Yes, seriously.

That kind of jealousy and controlling behavior is a red flag the size of Texas. No matter how lovely he seems now, the moment you're married, you're his property, honey, at least in his mind, and getting out will be much harder than getting in.

He sounds jealous, possessive, and a tad bit narcissistic. And he'll keep trying to find ways to "catch" you and "trip you up" because in his mind, you've ALREADY cheated, you've ALREADY lied, you're ALREADY a slut and whore and a cheater, so now it's just up to him to prove it to himself - and, of course, to you.
