I’m actually on board with this and have been feeling the same way about Charlotte this season. Despite the extreme wealth (although, temper that a little with the fact that she got the apt in the divorce so that’s a huge expense that didn’t dent Harry’s salary while she wasn’t working), she is so relatable and human.
I think she is the most relatable at this point. but I also think what Miranda is going through is relatable for folks who realize they are Queer later in life, and I feel the dynamic between her and Che models a lot of first Queer romances.
Kieran Culkin’s performances throughout this season have been exemplary but none more so than in the penultimate episode. His fall from cocksure in the penthouse apartment (top of the world) to being beaten on the ground in the riot (down in the gutter) could have been too on-the-nose in the wrong hands but Culkin…
Not since Don Draper have I seen a character (Kendall) so often predicted to die by suicide. People were actively on suicide watch throughout this episode, especially during the signing ceremony. Like Mad Men, I’m glad they opted for something less dramatic and more fitting (and in an odd way more devastating).
Joel’s expressions when she starts into “Gloria” are beyond amazing. I need several GIFs.
Hoping it wasn’t a series finale, but Somebody Somewhere was the best thing on HBO Sunday night.
I feel like this episode was exactly the kind of slower, more character-driven standalone story that TWD often tried to tell — it’s just that those detour episodes of TWD often didn’t work because the writing (and to a lesser extent the acting) wasn’t up to the task.
Disclaimer: I haven’t played the game.
Seriously, what idiot doesn’t love them
Cherry cordials fuckin’ RULE!
Chocolate oranges are delightful, how the hell did they make the list?
I’ve got something like 4 or 5 mom ‘n pops joints in my area, none of which would cost me more than $10 for a plate of pasta that’s nothing short of decadent, and I don’t have to shell out another $5 for meat.
I can make way more pasta than I want to eat at home for less than $20 and it’s going to be way better than Olive Garden.
I prefer the standard raisin.....
Jenna also describes Qarl and Laenor as faking his death on their own,
As a nurse who used to work post partum I can tell you that there was no chance Laena would have survived a C-section. She would have bled out very quickly due to the nature of the blood supply that is developed to sustain a pregnancy. Even today in the real world with all its medical advances hemorrhage is one of the…
Controversial take but he has no business being salty. Look, I get it...GoT didn’t land the ending. But it is largely Martin’s fault.
You can’t turn a breech baby at this point, nohow. If you’re going to try to do that, you have to do it before it settles down into the pelvis. I have done this, at about the 8 month mark or a little before, and it was difficult and risky, but the mom was determined not to have a C-section, so I agreed to try. It was…
