I used to live next to a racetrack. Traffic sucked, but the noise was excellent on race days.

The Superbowl will outdraw the race, shut down surround roads, slam the area traffic. But that’s cool I guess.

I have no idea if it’s true but I was watching some show about Top Fuel and one of the builders said the exhaust is directed upwards because it creates over a thousand pounds of downforce at top rpm. An engine is basically a big air pump so it makes sense but that’s a huge amount of power. The mind boggles.
