For a faster defrost, just put your frozen item in the sink filled with water. It's something like 3 times faster that way.

You are saying butter can melt Pyrex? I call BS. The melting point of Pyrex is over 550c. Pyrex is used in labs due to it being nearly impossible to melt.
If you cook them enough you can simply smell the right time too.
Crazyness. I'd much rather salt manually until it is just right rather than take a wild stab with pre-salted butter.
