Ahh, either way, there is still a lot of classical influence in this thread.

Not enough posters named after Carthaginian generals, either.

Let’s not say the Dodgers win.

There is no way he sleeps with women his age.

The Dodgers made the playoffs this year largely WITHOUT Kershaw...

The worst thing he said last night was that the first half was exciting even though no one could score or make any plays (offensively or defensively).

Children of the candy corn

So, gun manufacturers and dealers are protected from the use of the guns they make and sell, yet drug dealers can get life in prison because someone ODs on the smack they sell? Sounds legit.

They care enough to be SUPER salty about it.

As a Giants fan, 2002 still stings.

So, in 2016, you are upset that Marleau (a perennial Lady Bing finalist) is playing too physical in the Stanley Cup Final? You Pittsburgh fans are amazing.

The Wideman thing, totally analogous. You are good at this. When I watch hockey, it is just everyone on the ice staring at the puck. You are right. Not sure what I was thinking...

There is only so much you can do to avoid it though. Marleau isn’t a head-hunter by any stretch, Rust stumbled into the zone and kept his eyes on the puck. While the defensive player has a responsibility to not hit someone in the head, Rust also has a an obligation (to himself) to not drop his head into hit.

Looks like Letang has a bit of a suspension history. Marleau has never been suspended. I imagine that is a factor.

OR, and this is just a hypothetical, Rust could keep his head up when possessing the puck and skating into the offensive zone in the Stanley Cup Final. There will be contact in contact sports. At some level, the players need to be responsible for their own safety.

That’s some fancy cherry pickin’ on them numbers!
