Yup, something like that…
Yup, something like that…
If only we had a Super Hero who could take all these bigoted, irrational screaming maniacs and throw them into the sun or something…
Well that happened….
Naa sounds far to plausible a reason for the garbage pale lot.
Argh a frustrating Episode, on reflection…. I really wish they hadn't done the Nick backstory this Episode (or even this season - it would have been really nice to leave him as a tweener character), thematically it just seems wrong…. When the "real story" is Offred/June becoming more aware of the world she exists in,…
I enjoyed this episode, although I would have liked to see more of the "other side" but I think that is probably just being greedy…. this show is sparse in how it doles out plot taking the time instead to show and let sink in…. and in that light this fits in nicely…. and in order to make this a TV show that sticks to…
Trump…..
I hope this does get a second season… was sorta disappointed they didn't kill the Pax Americana story dead, but they have left it fairly contained which gives them the option to do something really interesting if they get another season… and that is make the show hard politics….
My thought was he looks like Boreanaz's younger less emotive cousin, Boreanaz gave us lots of angry scowlly back when he was Angel in Buffy, and some in Angel… but there definitely is a strong resemblance…
Nicely put…
Colony has a lot of resonance with the Original V… (Not the shoddy remake)
So long and thanks for all the memories….
I know who the "mole" is…. It's Kirkman himself….
Wonders if some people have any grasp of what slow burn TV is about… or the value of stringing along a mystery….
This is a slow burn show, as audience we are left pretty much clueless about what is "really going on" and "why" (the characters are also in as much of the dark as the audience.) however they show brilliantly sets up characters and plot.
I think this show has just topped the original V for being my favourite Alien invasion story…. I love how bold the writers are in changing this series and actually making it feel like we are watching something "real world" as opposed to heavily scripted "plot drama".
The reviews of Colony have been incredibly harsh….
Great episode…. and the scene with Alex was beautiful…. I do wish we had some word or picture from Eros… but this all happening in the next day…
It's one of the touches I like… at the end of the day this is politics… Falling on his sword has hurt it but it is actually "the best thing to do", now they can get on and manage it…. it's not iike Arvasarala's hand are likely to be clean…. (We know they aren't).
It's not that Rick and Co do or don't do bad things that is "bad writing", it's how these scenes are written and events plotted that is bad writing.
