I have finally caught up with this season, bingeing it all in day and a half (christmas special to final).. and WOW what a ride….

Turning Bill into a Cyberman was brutal enough….. giving her character some redemption at the end in a "magical escape" actually balances that brutality without coming anywhere near being a fairy tale.

Absolutely….. I can't believe that Simm or the writers/director could have generated that performance without someone having watched B5 and seen Zathras.

I felt this showed potential, if only the writers could start instilling any confidence that they are actually going to make an ongoing plot that develops naturally..

I have mixed feeling about this episode…. as a Brit most of the episode being in Spanish and with subtitles made it sort of hard to get into, but that I found actually quite cool (I used to watching tv with subtitles so it wasn't a problem) but it created a bit of a disjunction.

Shakespeare (and his contemporaries) very much wrote his political plays (all of them, politics actually comes into about half of his plays in a major way, and touches just about every single play he wrote) they lived in an era of unparalleled political turmoil in British History (at least up until that point) and…

I completely disagree, I think that they have been very well chosen to drive home a very discordant message, they add to the otherness of the TV show and the levels of alienation that the show engenders.

Yes, White is my father's surname, and his father's surname and so and so forth for a load of generations…. What is the big deal? White isn't my skin colour (which at the moment is a light brown, due to living in Thailand… is it cultural appropriation for me to go out in the sun?).

It's best not to think to deeply about any scifi dystopia, at least if you aren't prepared to dismantle them and see them for the shallow constructs they are.

Maybe they read the scripts for the next few episodes…
