The main reason I can think of that this episode fell kind of flat for me is because absolutely nothing from it will have any lasting impact at all. They're just going to go back in time and rewrite history so this episode essentially never happened at all.

At the end of this arc Amaya and Nate will definitely go back to Amaya's village together.
