I think out of everything it's this comment that's getting me the most:

"Fargo isn't a show you just show up to review like it's Grey's Anatomy."
Truer words have never been spoken.

    Very much this.
I can appreciate a criticism of structure and pacing but there's a lot more to film than those things. If you feel like something is "dragging on" perhaps take some time to understand why exactly whatever you're watching is lingering on the things it is.

So much Vita hate, I mean I understand it's not a popular system but what's the harm in a good game being made and appreciated by people who own that system?

Ah that's a bummer, one of my favourite studios. Thanks for the link.

    Alrighty then, good talk.

I mean….no? Zero doesn't look great by any means but the lighting alone would've been impossible to render on the GCN.

I mean my argument isn't that Zero looks better, it's that it's well above the graphical capabilities of a GCN.

Ah the old "Looks like a PS2 game at launch" hyperbole.
Even running at 1080p on an emulator the GCN can't really compare.

What? Since when did Treasure close down?!

Wow people hated True Detective that much?
I was under the impression it wasn't as good as the first but I had no idea it was received that poorly, I really should check it out.
Also, pretty divisive games list with MGS:V, Fallout 4 and Batman on both the best and most disappointing lists which I'd argue is 90% due to

Seriously though where was Louie? Banshee at 32 but Louie not even at 40?

Stunning finale, brilliant finish to a brilliant season of TV.
Every characters arc was wrapped up so elegantly and was so tonally sound I'm genuinely struggling to think of anything I didn't enjoy.
Show of the year for me for sure and fastly becoming a TV classic.

Randy pondering the scary and gayness of Isis and Ninjas had me in tears. Along with the boogers and cum showtune this season has been ridiculously funny.

Interesting point, I really wonder how much of a difference that exclusivity deal will make, Tomb Raider is great but it's not exactly the system selling franchise it used to be. I suppose the idea Microsoft has is that anyone grabbing an Xbox One for Halo 5 are most likely going to want a second or third game.

Yeah Blow is a strange guy, I'd call him a pseudo-intellectual but I feel like he genuinely believes his own reasoning and theories. He takes himself and his design philosophies a little too seriously for my tastes and you can feel it in Braid. When you're playing a Mario game, you can tell a lot of intense design

Ah thanks, I figured there was some kind of explanation to the Evil Corp thing that I missed. If that's the case though why do characters still say it when Elliot's isn't around? I presumed the show was presented from his perspective but how can he have a perspective on events he's not present for?

Gotta vent a little here, not following the hype for the show in the slightest.
Just finished an absolute slog through the first season (reading AV club reviews after each episode) in the hope it would pick up but really couldn't dig it.

Was he trying to do an accent? He seemed pretty straight up American but every now and then I'd hear a "boot" or "ey" in there somewhere.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "remake" I think you might have the wrong idea about the first season of Fargo. Aside from the setting (Fargo) it's a totally separate story set almost 20 years after the film and with an entirely different bunch of characters. It' a great show that doesn't detract from the
