I think it's certainly sobering for kids who built up their crushes as the hippest kids ever, without thinking of their personal struggles.

In my opinion, after Dennis and Carl passed, Brian is the only remaining Beach Boy that I consider important. Mike Love is a joke and while I think Bruce Johnston and Al Jardine are fantastic musicians, who have written some of the groups best songs, their connections to the band these days seem superficial.
