I respect that she has taken pretty much all the criticism that has come her way and really tried to work on it immediately. I think she has a big chance next season to see her edit and CHANGE the story. She has a lot more potential as a comeback queen than Cynthia, to be honest.

Whats weird is they were there all the same. Its bizarre that they've edited the show in this way to cut out so much of what made the show the show that it is.

I heard the same but what I wonder is if the episodes had to be edited down a bit to fit the different advertising buy in VH1 vs Logo. Something about the pacing feels weird.

Uff Im glad for Aja that she had that apology moment with Valentina. She was headed for Phi Phi land with how she acted last episode and Valentina's maturity means she knows exactly how to play it. Im glad the squashed it and I hope that sticks for Aja's sake.

I kind of agree with Kid Dada. I don't buy that really. I have a hard time believing we saw no signs of pain or mention of the injury from Charlie. Plenty of queens who failed in challenges mention injuries and its not edited out.

Any gay kid, or young straight girl, who grew up with a hairbrush in their room and a dream could do better than that mess.

That really bothers me. Whether or not her style of drag is someone's type you can't deny her talent. I think she'll have a problem making it far because of her thin skin—much in the same way as Thorgy.

She's an ornery old broad.

Did anyone else hear in untucked as Charlie was leaving she said either
"Don't touch me" or "Don't talk to me"
Eeek. Charlie wasn't mean she just often came off like an ornery old woman.

The timing is off and its weird to me that they would change those things and give it that pacing when they had already cut out mini challenges.

It was a BIG mistake for them to change anything about the basic formula. When you have a really dedicated fan base and you want to build on that you don't cut out a main part of the show. WHY would they cut out mini challenges. YES they were silly and barely meant anything to the competition. However they were

I feel like critics hold The Get Down to a different standard. Im happy this critic did admit that there was a reason for the kind of fantasy-like way the show dealt with the story of the rise of the boys and their decision making process. Ditto Mylene. I thought it was pretty clear from the beginning that the

I think it gives a really important look into the charisma part of charisma uniqueness nerve and talent. Yes its a lower stakes moment. But it shows how fast someone can think on their feet and really just relax into showing whether they have the charisma or don't.

I was actually pretty happy to see someone call out Aja and the instagram makeup girls for their face tune. I follow drag race pretty closely but Im not all up on makeup trends. I remember the All Stars season I was VERY excited to see Phi Phi because her instagram had showed really amazing improvement in her makeup

Im also kind of frustrated that the mini challenges have disappeared. Mostly because mini-challenges let out the air of pressure in the room. We get to see more personality and more silliness from the queens.

I feel bad for Aja in a way. I think she's taken a lot of cues from the instagram crowds and the new trends in makeup for drag (both from Naomi Smalls and Raven) and it just is too much. It doesn't work on her face and it doesn't look original. When your reference points so specifically point to two other queens

I agree. To have both languages and both cultures as your native culture gives you the opportunity to blend with both rather easily. Especially someone like her from an arts background she seems to have the sharpness to know how to incorporate it.

Agree, not to mention the fact that that song was WAY more tailored for Jaymes/a comedy queen than Kimora. Kimora clearly didn't even have a frame of reference for the song. She did sexy stripper.

I bet it was a scheduling issue and producers just said well then just come for a cameo… but damn she could've at least done a mini challenge.

I don't get enough polish from Shea to be honest. Valentina has something extra. Nina Bonina is super unique and I have a feeling she's a performer as well. I could see Eureka for her charisma making it before Shea.
