Agree. Everyone's gotta have an "experimental" phase. Pop and Zooropa are messy but quirky, even unique. People are too hard on them.

Agree with this. Do I have strong, mainly negative opinions about some of these bands? Sure, yes. I was 20 that year and starting to get super judgy because I did think "alternative" should have been more than a blip. But that doesn't mean everything was shit, even for those two weeks.

I didn't dislike Hawkman as much as Hawkgirl. Ciara Renee was also miscast, but the chemistry between them and between them and the guy playing Vandal Savage killed the whole dynamic.

Agreed. I've found that internet comment sections aren't conducive to "that season was just okay" or "mediocre" or "average to above average." Sometimes, I think people come looking for fireworks; at least at AV Club, people are full of puns and modestly pointed discussion along with the declarations of best and…
