These after shows are starting to get out of hand.

Now I need to reread that one too. I want to check out his Before Watchmen trade at some point too. I avoided that entire series at the time, not because I cared about Alan Moore's artistic vision being sullied, but because it felt like a blatant cash grab from DC and I just ignored it. But over the weekend I realized

Working weddings is a trip, isn't it? I was a cater waiter one summer during college and it was, by far, the most insane job I've had. Long days, long nights, the staff was made up of crazy college kids and bitter and sarcastic catering lifers, and the weddings parties were always entertaining in one way or other.

Jesus, I know. I gave up trying to make sense of the X-Men movies' timeline. I know they tweaked the continuity after the events of the last movie (which wipes out X3 IIRC), but it's still a freaking mess.

X-Men in space is like chocolate and peanut butter—some things just go great together.

But I bet you somewhere in this country, maybe back in the early '80s, someone used it as their wedding song. It's like when I've heard of people interpreting Pearl Jam's "Better Man" as a love song.

She asked if I remembered the letters I wrote
When our love was young and bold
She said last night she read those letters
And they made her feel one hundred years old

Yes! I also think of those two movies (X3 and Spidey 3) similarly. It was obvious why both franchises rebooted after them.

Don't know, I didn't hear about that one. Did she change her name to Sprite after that, only to then get sued by Marvel and Coca-Cola?

I really wish someone would start a band named Corsair and the Starjammers already! Musicians, get on this!

I know I'm not!

We can agree to disagree on X3 but I agree with wholeheartedly on that Wolverine film. In fact, I also like the last one too, The Wolverine. In both cases, I think the films ran into the same thing that impacts most of these movies - they were each a little too over-stuffed and could have used a good edit to keep the

My reasons for hating it as well!

But, but, X-Men in space is just fun!

But it is most definitely an awful movie. It can be a letdown too, but it's a stink bomb of a flick.

And I would add he also had a tremendous amount of respect for the characters, especially DC's, and that was such a joy to behold. He just got it, you know?

Yeah I was really saddened to hear that. I spent a big part of the day looking at his art, then I ordered New Frontier (read it years ago but only own digital issues now and I really want it in a print copy), then read his Wolverine/Doop issues. He was so talented. God this is so sad.

I have a few other books on their now and I'm not getting anything yet either. The page views are minimal so far it seems.

I love his X-Men run too, in fact those classic Claremont issues are probably my favorite comics, period.

I'm disproportionately excited for Future Quest. The nostalgia factor for the old cartoons is part of it, but Parker and Shaner working together is a can't miss. Now my only concern is price and that might make me hold off until this gets traded.
