Congrats on graduating!

The entire ending of Remender's run felt rushed, like editorial mandate played a hand in it. That said, Remender's runs usually end with an underwhelming whimper, as do so many writers' runs these days…

I think it's one of the better, more underrated series of recent years. It got totally dismissed as just Claremont writing a nostalgic ode to his era of writing X-Men (and thus himself) but it's much more than that. It really does a masterful job of showing just how fun Kurt is as a character. It's a real celebration

It sounds positively dreadful and like another writer fucking up a chance to write Elektra, who is a fantastic fucking character.

Oh hell now that just annoys me to hear. And here I was thinking of giving that book a chance because of my love for Daredevil and Elektra. Pffft.

Yup it is. Remender's run went off the rails over the course that series. I did like Jet, though, and I wish she had been explored more. I think she went back to Dimension Z at the end of that run and hasn't been seen since, right?

Nauck's work on the Nightcrawler series with Claremont is a thing of beauty.

Amen to that. I discovered that book a few years ago when my friendly comics shop employee recommended it to me because he knew I was falling in love with Chris Samnee's work on Daredevil. It's one of my most cherished comics now.

That Dimension Z arc is a favorite of mine.

The weird thing is Comixology has a Cooke sale going on now, or at least they did earlier this week. I picked up a few things, including his Catwoman issues which I haven't read in ages. Eerie timing.

I loved that Starfire/Blackfire story! All of the space opera and the gloriously over the top action? Right up my alley.

Hey, so I finally sold a few old books on ebay. Thanks to those of you here who encouraged me to give it a shot. White Suburban Punk you'll be pleased to know that I sold the two hardcover volumes collecting Fan Favorite Brian Michael Bendis' snooze of a run on Moon Knight.

His blog post about it (which his wife wrote) is called simply "Fuck Cancer." Gods yes to that. Enough already, cancer. Fuck off.

Went to the LCS with the kids and the wife, had a good time chatting with the employees - I'm really fortunate, my shop has several genuinely nice people working at it - plus donated to a local charity that was set up there. The shop had a Harley Quinn cosplayer who looked fantastic and was really sweet to my kids

Sad news about Darwyn Cooke fighting cancer.

A mix of older and newer stuff.

Bill Clinton playing the sax on Arsenio's show? The most '90s thing ever.

I like the way you think.

I had the soundtrack too! "Fallin'" by De L Soul and Teenage Fanclub is such a killer song.

Exactly. And as for the inner city teacher bit, that sounds so 1970s to me, so I'm not surprised at all that it happened. But I am perplexed that anyone thought it made sense for the Black Panther, even during that era.
