Everybody knows the transition to Kinja will be bad. What this comment presupposes is….maybe it won't?

Yeah, I'm probably rationalizing too much. But they did discuss in the first episode that they are rushing their plans because of Alexandra's illness, and the other Fingers do complain about her spending all their money and Substance on Black Sky. So i don't think it's a big leap.

Meh. Good for her for getting as much as she can, but I wouldn't expect her to get paid as much as Rock or Chappelle, at least not without some supporting numbers to show her relative popularity/sales.

I think it makes sense that what we are seeing in The Defenders is the bitter end of the Hand. They are out of resurrection juice so leadership is jumpy and rushing their plans. They're broke after sinking money into Midland Circle and losing access to Rand Corp. and the heroin racket. DD killed scores of their

The main reason why this article seemed like a cheap, Gawker-esque, clickbait pile-on to me when i first read it is because (beyond its factual inaccuracies) I don't generally care about entertainers/artists as people.

The best words, believe me.

He wasn't bad in Spanglish, another non comedic role. There was other stuff bad about Spanglish, but he wasn't one of them.

I do like, though, that this article is focusing on what AV Club does best (pop culture writing) and has a lot of interesting research and examples. I'd like to see more of this approach when AV Club is writing about current events. Play to your strengths.

This article seems to conflate wartime propaganda (which included a lot of racist anti-Japanese works as well and also government censorship) with actual anti-fascist entertainment. I don't think that's a great model. As the article notes, being anti-Nazi and being fed anti-Nazi messages in pop culture didn't make

I like that she countersued for $1 and refused to settle, making sure it went to trial. When he sued, this guy probably figured he'd get a couple bucks to make him go away. And now here we are, repeatedly hearing what an asshole he is.

Yeah, same here.
