Sorry, how old are your kids? Just want to know because I want to suggest titles but I'm not sure if my suggestions would be too easy or too hard for them to read.

Norton Critical Editions are the beeeeest. I know a lot of other publishers work hard to put out annotated classics but Norton is really good at what they do.

A) Well, I finished How to Make it in America, which I found sweet and refreshing. Overall, I found the S01 on par with S02. Both were terribly flawed, though in different ways, not that it stopped me from watching (oddly the same assessment I had for The Hour, also cancelled unceremoniously). What's funny is that

MAZEL TOV

I keep meaning to watch this. In my mind it's the most hilarious thing ever, but whenever I've watched clips Will Ferrell is playing it so straight.

Of course the rules make perfect sense. But it doesn't make the game any less silly.

In hindsight I'm really grateful that they cast all the grownups with some really excellent actors. They gave these talented individuals nice fat paychecks, let them work their magic (magic, get it??) and introduced them to a whole new generation. Everybody wins!

Oh my god. They got a French person to play a French Canadian? I'm sure that'll play real well in Quebec.

I'm glad those movies didn't do well. He should stick with stuff like A Single Man. He still has a franchise anyway, with X-Men.

I have trouble with that too. I wish I had some wisdom to impart on how to remedy this! Maybe find someone who's watching the same shows you are or has already seen them, so you'll have someone to report back to?

Heh, high expectations. I just thought it would be batshit crazy. It was just sweet and beautiful instead.

Lol, good try. I'm not falling for it.

It feels like everything on Netflix is about to expire. Is it really necessary to pull off She-Devil, Netflix? Is it?? And then I found out American Movie is gonna expire on Hulu, too. Wish I had the time to watch it all!

That's good to know. I'll just make sure to pay attention as closely as I can when I finally get around to it.

So what's the deal? I haven't seen the movie. Is it like the movie fails on its own, and can only be understood with an instruction manual?

Personally I was really disappointed by the last ep. Seemed like they wanted to tie everything up neatly in a bow but that involved a lot of fan service. Sigh.

That Swedish series, in theory, sounds amazing.

Don't feel bad, it'll get to you eventually. I'd been waiting for it for months and I ended up getting shut out of the screenings cos they were sold out. I just miscalculated when to buy a ticket (that is, it should have been real fucking early). They only played it in two theaters in Manhattan, not even one in

I just want to say I just heard about this podcast called Radio Ambulante and I read it was like a Spanish-language version of This American Life, which I think is quite apt! It's cool because they get stories from various countries in the Americas so you get to hear all sorts of accents and stuff. They got some

Oddly plausible. You're gonna give Samberg ideas…
