This isn't a jokey "Great Job, Internet!" post either?!?!

Right, a native Spanish-speaker.

I thought this was a jokey "Great Job, Internet!" post.

That's cool.  I mean, there's no dearth of talent—there never has been.  I like to think that if they hire Latinos who aren't Mexican, at least they'll be able to do the accent.  Like, as awesome as Benicio del Toro was in Traffic, I found it so annoying that he sounded so Puerto Rican.

Yep, my issue exactly.  I think they're both decent actresses and they seem like awesome people, but the music act falls flat for me.  I really liked Riki's podcast on Nerdist, but on occasion she'd mention, "Yeah, I'm not really into music…"  As in, she doesn't really listen to music.  Even though she's a musician.

Yeah I know.  It really wasn't the best moment for America (not that this government shutdown right now is anything to boast about).  I didn't realize that "internment" was used specifically with relation to Japanese-American camps.

This is minor, but I've really enjoyed the legit Mexican accents when the Latino actors speak Spanish.  Like I love Breaking Bad, but that's one area they didn't get quite right.  Obviously it's not the fault of Giancarlo Esposito and Mark Margolis, but it was distracting hearing them butcher their lines during

Not gon' lie.  That shit was fucking inspiring.  Wish I could like this comment 1000 times.

So dark.

Ha!  I felt the opposite about Blanchett's character.  I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, but that last encounter with her son really sealed it for me.  Though of course I did think Baldwin's character was the wooooorst.

Combination birthday party?  Are they cool with that?

Aren't the Wimpy Kid books also vignette-y too?  I can't quite remember.

I tend to zone out a lot during action heavy movies, but I got really sucked into the races, especially the one where Lauda gets hurt.  Seriously, F1 seems like some scary shit!!

YES.  Glorious is exactly the word I would use to describe it, too.

My god.  Gabriel Byrne in Miller's Crossing was dreamy.

Audience participation.  I'm breaking out into a sweat just reading that, ha.

Aw, well, as long as you're having a little bit of fun…

What part are you guys up to?

25!  Huzzah!

Totally agree on Flame and Citron.  I'm not sure why I was kinda cold on it.  Like, I really liked Black Book and I fucking loved Max Manus and this is of a similar vein, so I feel disappointed that I didn't like it more.
