I didn't know what to think of S1. I thought to myself "It's no Rubicon", no The Americans either, but I liked where they were going. Then in S3 I was surprised that it actually got as good as The Americans ever was - a show I'm very fond of.

Apparently coming in Oct.

Plus, that HBO miniseries.

Sepinwall mentioned all 10 episodes were sent to critics.

Plus Taboo..

I mean.. there are so many half-hour shows that actually are character dramas with Indie-aesthetics. TCA should be the first to introduce a new category.

Westworld was too focused on creating its mystery puzzle, it forgot to actually write good drama or characters..

It's the sweet nugget of love, you lucky fool - to paraphrase FX's Louie.

And that's why I Iike it so much.

I'm sure Kanye'd reprise "his role"..

They probably will pair B99 with Type A.

Moreover, Mike & Gus are Mike & Gus. Those two rational professionals can't compete with the nuanced relationship of Jimmy and Kim.
A lot of people love the scenes that are written for badassery only - like half-faced Gus - so they'll include ALL of the Gus/Hector rivalry.. I guess.

What's your best guess for the connection to S1 & 2?

No, you're right, that's just not the part I meant. But I guess it doesn't matter..

"but ARH spent the "review" talking about what a black snow should and shouldn't do and support"

That's a ongoing TV show, isn't it?

It's interesting that the opening dialogue had more details than the subtitles revealed. I assume that it's not a "The Americans" situation where the subtitles are written and the actors translate it?

Exactly.

The film got interesting when Simien revealed surprising sides to the almost stereotypical characters and their struggle for identity.
I apparently liked the aspects that Simien wants to focus on in the refined version - good.

I'd take The leftovers or Tremé over any Netflix drama - I agree on Bojack though.
