I went to a concert where Heart opened for Sammy Hagar/Van Halen on my 17th birthday. True story. I think it was a good show, I honestly can't remember much of it…

Upvoted for the point about music. It's on my radar too. I'm conflicted about it, because often I enjoy it but at the same time it can pull me out of whatever I'm watching. Fargo and Better Call Saul aren't, say, Wes Anderson bad, but they definitely ride the ragged edge of disaster from time to time.

The chicken is cheap, but the meth is how they get ya. That stuff is never below $200 for a teenth, and they never take any coupons or have "two for one Tuesday" or anything.

Sorry, it was a joke— a very obscure one though. When Combo was killed, Jesse called Walter to tell him. But Walter couldn't even remember who he was. "Which one was he?"

Chicken and Drugs, together at last!

I listened to the Better Call Saul Insider Podcast a few days ago; Vince Gilligan said he had a really difficult time directing these first two episodes. He was frustrated or bored or something— and I think some of that is definitely bleeding into the show.

One of my favorite moments without a doubt.

And did you notice his tie? Green. Well, green-er than it has ever been. Growth, change, new things for Howard! (I'm guessing it was mostly a nod to him getting over that wall…)

What a great episode, truly. That ending was a tsunami. And the way Kim asked for $1 was a fun callback to how we met Saul Goodman back in Breaking Bad.

Absolutely. And I feel like Marnie is just one step away from being gone. When she was taking selfies and talking about going out, just like hey I'm going out, I realized she's only there with Hannah because she had nothing else to do. She's getting bored. She's not invested, not like Hannah is. She's not happy.

I love how the lack of everyone else emphasized how REAL parenting can be: people will promise to help, but ultimately few people actually show up when things are tough. When the baby is crying his lungs out, and you are crying right there too, people scatter. And why wouldn't they? It's your job. Anyone else

Watch Odenkirk's Emmy go to Michael McKean. >.<

I was in high school when Top Gun came out, and my dad was an F16 fighter pilot. I never thought it was anything cool, it was just what my dad did for money. *shrug* But of course when the movie made fighter piloting look sexier than being a rock star, I had guys asking me out left and right just to meet my *dad*.

Right? Maybe Chuck needs a witness, a witness Jimmy will believe:

He certainly had the chiropractor of the sad and debauched. IIRC, she "adjusted to completion." Of course he might not have been talking from personal experience. But he totally was.

That, plus Cranston seemed to love being naked or in his underpants as much as possible. Was it really necessary for him to drop trou every third episode? Bleh.

Yep. I've really enjoyed BCS, but I miss Jesse. He brought a lot of life and energy to that universe, something that the show currently lacks. (and I don't miss Walt. Not even a little.)

Well, that's too bad, but I get it. I wonder how far down the list they went to get Gambon. Something tells me he wasn't the next pick. He's a great actor but he was miscast as Dumbledore. Plus, his voice kinda creeps me out.

Samwise "The Gardener" Gamgee doesn't seem quite so noble and innocent now, does he.
