Don't forget Search for Spock also gave us the Starbase as well. For all it's faults, you can sometimes forget that Search for Spock really expanded visually what we thought of as the Federation.

I always thought this as well, Generations looks like a big screen movie. The effects look great too First Contact had great effects too but it somehow seems less ambitious, quickly dispensing with Borg cube and spending most of the time on a couple of sets and on Earth.

Insurrection, I think used Sony Imageworks was a major effects house, so there shouldn't have been any excuse for the shoddy effects. At least V only had some guy in is garage doing the effects

I think the problem with the E is that we never get to explore it. It's basically a generic star ship for a couple of movies. There's no sense of home in away that even the Enterprise A felt familiar for it's couple of movies.

One of the most impressive things about Khan is that it had to be done on a low budget but it doesn't look it.

Personally Generations is the only TNG movie that actually feels like it tried to be a movie and not just a slightly higher budget tv episode

I can't believe someone put Insurrection up that high in the list

I see people complaining about the Netflix offerings but I think it depends on the country. I found US to be full of tv shows but the movie selections were some what sparse while Canada they have more recent movies but less tv shows.

The casting is probably why I had a hard time getting into the show. Most of the cast comes across as the people that should be the 3rd level supporting cast on a better show. I like Clark Gregg but he works better in a supporting role then a lead.

I could never really get into Agents of Shield. I slogged through the 1st season but found Season 2 just ok. There was just a blandness to most of the cast that the show couldn't shake, the same with the sets. Kind of like watching Star Trek Voyager, everyone on it seemed to be leftovers from other shows.

All those 80's Conan Rip Offs like Barbarian women or something. Art that made the movie look like a Frazetta painting, when the actual movie looked like it was shot in a rock quarry in the directors backyard

Jungle 2 Jungle staring America's favourite funny man Tim Allen.

I thought it was going to be an adventure movie with the Princess having to go on a quest through different lands. It ended up being just a small mother/daughter movie that took place in only a couple of locations

How about Sorcerer by Friedkin. Imagine my disappointment when this wasn't an early 80's fantasy movie.

His book, I HATED HATED HATED that movie is a great read. Just a collection of bad reviews. Whether you agree with this taste in movies or not , he's writing was always interesting

Especially the Scifi covers, the art often looked like it cost more then the actual movie.

I only wish someone would do a Netflix remake of Robotech, which would fix some of the issues of shoehorning a story over existing animation. Then maybe we could see the damn SDF2

I like the idea of this scene but the execution is just too cheesey.

I'm not sure I see the problem with removing the headphone jack. On one hand blue tooth can be a pain with charging and pairing but with the 3.5mm jack it tends to become loose and staticy overtime in my experience.

I think we are seeing the results of Kevin Feige having more control of the MCU, we are getting a more diverse set of composers now for Phase 3.
