I'll forever defend Spy Game. It's just so satisfying see Redford win over those lame CIA desktop guys. Plus, I like it's score.

I too went in blind and god damn I had a great time. Back then I was off the internet for a while so I hadn't seen any trailers. But I freaking loved it. I came out from the theater with my head blown off. I had to tell everyone about this movie! I wasn't a visionary or anything, by the time I saw the movie it had

Just came here to say that Edgar Wright curates some really good soundtracks, but then it's not like he doesn't acknowledge the power of an algorithm like the one Spotify uses. He does share stuff there. Still, I'm excited to see what Baby Driver does with the format.

So I think it went something like this:
- Sony: Hey, M, how about I make a Venom movie and you help me squeeze Spidey in there.
- Marvel: GTFO.

Is there a way to upvote this? Anyway, you can have my comment :D

hey! That's my flag! Go Chile!

Everything ends and that's alright, but I have to say that I immensely enjoyed this feature (and never commented because up until recently I was basically a lurker). So thank you, Mike. At least we have your reviews, your letterboxd, twitter and…. I swear I'm not psychotic fan! I just like the same medium that you do

Hey! All the reviews in one page means less tabs open in my browser, that's a welcome change. (I'm selfish, I know)

1995 was the year when I strated going to the movie theater every week. Really, every week. they had a double bill so you could catch two different movies every week and not worrying about different schedules (I miss double bills, but now I wouldn't have the time to do that. Life, you know?).

I'm watching this right now. My first thought as the very first frames appear on screen: "well, this looks dated"
After 10 minutes:
"Holy Sh*********t! Did he really blew that guy's head while covered in flour looking like Death doing his job?!"

Your are correct and I'm an idiot, The Hunt for the Red October is the better movie. The thing is, I never couldn't see Baldwin as Ryan, though arguably I never got to see it till after all the Harrison Ford Ryan movies. Plus, you gotta love Connery's russian accent.

I remember a few things about US2, but what I really really loved about that movie was this line: "Did you see the body? Assumption is the mother of all FUCK UPS!"

No he didn't, that was his evil twin, Simon West. But both were produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and everybody knows he's the real auteur of this movies

Yes, Bay gave us The Rock, his best movie by far, and one I return to time and again because it's just so good. Plus, in Armageddon he gave us Michael Clarke Duncan.

Timecop still is super fun and you can't go wrong with Mia Sara.
Clear and Present Danger is, IMHO, the best Jack Ryan movie and I was hoping to read about it in the Other notable movies section

Eva Green is such a capable actress, but she is great elevating material that's beneath her and even greater at understanding what is camp. I can think of this movie, her collaborations with Tim Burton, Penny Dreadful and the horrible 300 prequel/sequel that showcase precisely that talent.

I saw just this past weekend, after months of reading about it and not really finding the time or the mood for a well-shot, dialogue-free Winding Refn movie. But oh what I had missed! I loved it. Just with the initial credits and that slow push and then pull it had me in its vampiristic claws. Winding Refn is a master

I freaking love this column. Thank you, Tom

66? He looks a lot older than that to the point that I kind of worry for his health
