THERE THEY ARE. FACES OF STONE.

It's the same reason they would put the belt on Del Rio (And keep employing him), which is to appeal to a lucrative and growing foreign market.

To be fair though the series makes it clear a few times that Bobby was never as bad as he portrayed himself to be. It pretty clearly says that he got into things too deep to impress Laura, who kept making demands of him.

Essentially evil Cooper created this decoy of Doug to replace him when the real Cooper leaves. The hows and whys of it don't really matter.

In the original series, Lynch refused to let the colour blue be shown. Fun fact.

Having just watched the series again, I don't feel like they've retconned anything about the character. The original show is a little unclear on Denise's situation, but then this was 25 years ago.

I think this is confusing some people. The Roadhouse is just a conceit to end the episodes. Essentially the episode ends with Albert and Cole discussing what I assume to be Diane, and then we cut to the Roadhouse for the end credit sequence.

I think they've probably recast him. Either Jeffries will keep getting mentioned but kept off camera, or he'll just show up looking different.

Whoo boy is this late, but I believe that when Lynch was asked what they should do with Josie they took him too literally. I think he wanted this idea of the Great Northern being a place that you can be trapped in, and that was the idea for Josie, they just couldn't figure a better way to put it on screen.

Counterpoint: The DC of it is good.

I like the operatic delirium of BvS. I mean it literally ends with the promise of Satan walking the earth. I think that ultimately Synder has some trouble getting across his ideas, but you can't say his movies are lacking for ambition either.

I'm happy to see that. I caught some NCIS: LA and he looked dreadful in it. I'm still sad that he's gone, but I'm glad he has that vibrancy back.

Yeah I believe it's canon that he killed a guy in self-defence. It kind of spoils his arc a little in the original series, but what can you do.

Truman still refers to Denise as a 'he' and is admonished for it and later on refers to her correctly. I think it's actually scripted (I can't remember if it's stated) that Denise is awaiting surgery as well.

I just got done with a rewatch. Watch it up until the killer plotline is revealed and then watch the last two episodes. The rest is filler.

He also has a great moment in early S2 where in a therapy session he reveals that Laura led him to be the way he was. It sheds a sadder light on him being the 'bad boy' of the town.

Nah, FWWM is utterly devastating and importantly, it gives Laura back some agency rather than just being a cipher. Yeah the violence is horrifying and it's grueling, but it's not there to titillate or to arouse or anything like that.

I appreciate that unlike a lot of other revivals, the show understands the damaging passing of time. There's no 'Look we're still the same people!' here. Everyone is older and sicker and it makes those last 25 years seem lived in, rather than just having characters sitting around and waiting for the new show to happen.

The real reason is they they promote Jinder the same reason they promote Del Rio, simply to appeal to a foreign market.

Why would I be talking about ALIEN in a thread about COVENANT and PROMETHEUS.
