The LPOTL episodes about Hubbard have been fantastic. Hubbard's early life is just a little shy of 'Flashman' or something. He almost gets into an international incident with Mexico. He lies and scams his way around everyone. He writes some vaguely homo-erotic sounding fiction. He steals people's wives and

Yeah it's always a joy when they find something they genuinely like. Like Eric admitting that he really did enjoy HIGHLANDER 3.

The sad state of John Cusack is going to end up being a future YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS episode.

The great Michael Kelly does a fantastic job with King's JOYLAND. He has this great melancholic tone that really adds to the story.

Don't get me wrong, it's in no means 'good', but I like the grand operatic style of it compared to Marvel blandness.

I don't mind them existing, so long as they do something. Like LOGAN for instance. Hell, even BATMAN V SUPERMAN was different enough that I kind of like it on those terms.

It probably explains why he scaled things way back on THE BATMAN if that's the case. Moreso if it's true that he wanted out of the project completely.

I think, like a lot of people who friends with guys like that, it's a sort of gallows humour. But I don't think anyone actually thought it would come to fruition.

Mike is an utter dick. But I greatly prefer THE LAST PODCAST ON THE LEFT. Warning: It is joke heavy, and pretty dark, but they do point out that they it's mainly to offset the dark subject matter. And they also treat things seriously when they need to.

I think the show is a little disparaging toward Aldrich and BABY JANE, to the point where sometimes I don't know if anyone involved has seen BABY JANE. They seem to treat it like a camp romp (Because ultimately it got embraced as being that), but it's a black black movie, as cynical as SUNSET BOULEVARD was.

It's because he doesn't have to any more because there isn't any competition. Repackaging The Rock came at a time when they were getting hammered weekly by WCW. Vince was willing to do whatever he needed to to get eyes back on his product.

It's interesting that in Logan's quote about God, it's in the context of there being no more mutants anymore. But what he, nor anyone else, actually realises at the time is that Man stepped in to eradicate them. You can make the argument that Logan is wrong, he just doesn't know it.

I liked the villians because they're just kind of simple. It's a world where grandiose threats aren't really needed anymore. The Doctor is just a simple bureaucrat with his own mercenary team. I mean this is a world in which the villains have basically already won.

There's an unease to that dinner scene because it's inevitable that it doesn't end well. On another LOGAN thread people mentioned how dumb and forced it was that Charles says they should stay, knowing they're being tailed. But I don't think it's as simple as that. At that point I don't even think they know that

Mangold has always rubbished that idea of Mr. Sinister, which probably tells you how much these filmmakers talk to one another.

To be fair, WOLVERINE has a post-credits scene (That hilariously comes of nothing).

I'd already heard there was no post-credits scene. But about half of my screening waited around anyway. I honestly don't know what people expected after this one. As if the post-credit scene was going to do a complete 180 on where the movie ended.

I kind of don't get the hate. Like, he's a kid. And I guarantee that every single one of the people commenting on here said some really dumb shit when they were kids. It just happens that he has a massive platform to do it on.

The site is basically turning into UPROXX or a thousand other similar sites. I have nothing against UPROXX and the like, but if I wanted to read them then I would just go there instead.

Vern is so good that he got me to buy his book on Segal. And you know what? That book is great too.
