Oh, I have that. It was officially bundled in with the legitimate R3 release. My understanding is that it was a contractual obligation in some regions. It's nice, but I think it's a bad colour job because it looks incredibly washed out.

The problem with this, as was the problem with FURY ROAD, is that it's not enough to just fuck around with the colour settings. Like anything else, if a movie isn't shot to look that particular way, then it's not really going to look all that great.

It's a tricky thing, mainly because it's clearly a cultural issue. Polanski argued that he wasn't doing anything different than he would've at home, where it was widely more 'accepted'. Even after he fled he still spoke about it with some confusion, as though Americans were just being prudish.

I also think she's had the right to say that yeah, you know what, I've had my name out there for decades now where I'm just seen as his victim, I'd like to move on.

I like PROMETHEUS (Yes I'm one of those people). I think it's a more interesting movie than it is a good one. But so far this feels like that movie but with all that interesting stuff taken out.

I'm not sure what there is to gain from this conversation then. You think he's bad, I don't. There we go.

Nah, he's playing an archetype in IV, a whiny teen who wants to go drag racing. He's worlds away from what comes in VI.

I think he's generally underrated in STAR WARS. Say what you want about the writing or whatever, but Luke has a very visible arc across all 3 movies and Hamill nails each aspect of it.

The slow decline of the AV Club continues. I get it. I get that they need the clicks, but they're going about it in the wrong way by turning it into a tabloid site. They might as well just get bought out by UPROXX and get it over with.

I don't know, I feel like if there was then we would've heard about it. It's the nature of allegations like that. Once the floodgates open people start to come forward.

I'm not really sure how anyone can approach that. In this case in particular allegations of harassment were settled and everyone has moved on. There were no allegations before or since. This isn't a Victor Salva situation.

Well, no one is actually allowed to talk about it. That's part of the settlement. Marc Maron mentioned it on his introduction to his WTF episode. Also, I'm not sure what exactly anyone is supposed to say.

Problem is that FENCES isn't very good. And I don't think that Denzel is particularly great in it. He's not bad by any means, but it's a very stagey performance in a very stagey movie.

Right, and that's still miles away from the Polanski or Nate Parker issue. It's extremely shitty behavior, but it's not sexual abuse.

I don't know. I mean sure race played a factor maybe? But the case against Parker was A) Much stronger than the one against Affleck and B) Not helped by a lazy use of rape in his movie, his movie which the other accused party also worked on.

Because things aren't as simple as that. There's this belief that if you were totally innocent then you would want to throw it open to a jury, but with the particular nature of the accusation, it's essentially a game of he said/she said.

I think he panics a little, shows her the card as if to say look there's been a fuckup. She clearly thinks that he's joking and just sees LA LA LAND on the card and reads it out.

Weird that this publication, and that Twitter user, was notably silent when the allegations about Amy Schumer was made. What a ridiculous story that, at its worst, is about parallel thinking.

I'm pretty sure it's McGrath. Or maybe I just want it to be because he was largely insufferable, and notably has barely appeared on the show.

Probably not, but Adam Buxton does a great rundown of his appearance on Buzzcocks.
